Our coffee isn't made from store-bought pre-roasted beans — we roast and blend it ourselves. Same reason every cake follows our own recipe: when you control it from the source, coffee and cake flavors can be designed to truly complement each other, not just coincidentally share a menu.
The Home Cafe Philosophy: Do Less, But Do It Yourself
Spring Day is a small home cafe. We choose to make everything ourselves, in quantities we can properly manage — any cake slice that isn't good enough never makes it to the display case, any coffee cup that doesn't meet standard gets remade. This is the one advantage a small shop has over a chain, and we're committed to keeping it.
How to Pair Coffee with Cake for Maximum Deliciousness
A basic rule that always works: rich cakes (chocolate) pair with milky coffee like a latte for balance · bright, tangy cakes (orange, strawberry) go well with black coffee or iced americano · fragrant, gentle cakes (coconut, pandan) try with sweeter-toned coffee like a cappuccino — just come in and tell your barista which cake you're having today, and we'll recommend the perfect cup.
