How to Pick a Size Without Leftovers
Count the actual number of guests and add just a little buffer — a 1-pound cake cuts into about 6-8 small slices. If there are other desserts at the event, guests usually take just one small slice of cake, so choose size based on headcount without over-ordering.
But if the cake is the star of the event (candle-blowing, photos, take-home slices), we recommend going up one size — for example, 10 guests who really intend to eat cake should skip 1 pound and go straight to 2 pounds.
How Many Days in Advance to Order
Custom cakes should be ordered at least 2-3 days in advance. Special decorations or 3D cakes need even more lead time. Display-case cakes are available daily with no reservation needed — just walk in and choose.
